Villa Jeanne is within a few minutes' walk of Lodève town, known locally
as the Gateway to the Mediterranean. For centuries, Lodève has been, and
still is today, the portal between the Cévennes hills and the
Mediterranean coastal plain.
Lodève has traditionally offered lodgings to travellers in the South
of France, being on the route of the St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimage.
